Function
The role of idler is to support the weight of conveyor belt and
material. The operation of idler must be flexible and reliable.
Reducing the friction between conveyor belt and idler plays a key
role in the service life of conveyor belt which accounts for more
than 25% of the total cost of conveyor. Although the idler is a
small part in the belt conveyor and its structure is not complex,
it is not easy to make high quality idler.
There are several criteria to judge whether the idler is good or
bad: the radial runout of the idler; the flexibility of the idler;
the axial displacement
